I have recently surpassed 2,700 Kindle comic books.
As such a manga junkie, I would like to introduce a manga that I found quite interesting.
As for the selection criteria, we will not limit ourselves to any particular genre or content, but will introduce works that we feel compelled to recommend to our friends.
Spirit Circle (Fantasy)
Keywords: reincarnation, causality, moving, human drama
Previously published: 6 volumes complete
The story is about the protagonist reliving his past lives seven times.
You will probably be surprised to find that, despite the picture, the story is told in a very gritty manner.
Although it is only six volumes, I know of no other manga with such a high density than this Spirit Circle.
The story begins in a big way when the main character is on his way home from school when he is suddenly punched out by a girl who transferred to his school that day.
The protagonist does not understand why he was beaten, but this is where the reliving of his spectacular past life begins.
Since it is a past life, it naturally depicts the death of the main character, and that is the main strength and attraction of this manga.
The gradual revelation of the reason why the girl punched the protagonist and the causal link between the two will be highly cathartic.
The elaborate cultural setting, the way the characters think, talk and act, the drama of numerous encounters and partings, all connected and moving to the point of giving me chills.
I think the author is a storytelling genius.
Ragna Crimson (Dark Fantasy)
Keywords: intense action, hatred, future alteration, strong protagonist
Previously published: 4 vols.
The persistence to protect the people you love comes to fruition. The past and the future are connected at this very moment.
At first I thought it was a moe manga, but it was totally different.
The descriptions are quite intense and unforgiving. It is definitely interesting!
The "karyujin" is a profession in which one wields a silver sword, hunts dragons, and receives a reward.
Ragna, a boy who is a poor hunter-dragoner, teams up with Leonica, a girl prodigy who boasts of killing more dragons than anyone else, to take on the daily challenge of killing dragons.
Laguna has only one wish - "I don't care if I can't be strong. I want to be by Leo's side forever."
The boy's feelings are fleetingly scattered by the attack of the deadliest dragon...
To challenge is to be absolutely strong. Resist the forced destiny. To the limit and beyond.... The super stoic otherworldly extreme battle!
Ten Billion Days and One Hundred Billion Nights (Science Fiction)
Keywords: space, philosophy, hard science fiction
Previously published: 1 volume complete
What is Man? What is God? What is existence? A milestone in Japanese science fiction, set in a magnificent time-space.
More than 20 years old, this is an epic 446-page science fiction manga. It is based on a novel.
I read this manga in 2010 and have yet to find a science fiction manga that surpasses it. I remember that when I read it, I had a similar impression to when I read Osamu Tezuka's "The Firebird. I can assure you that you will be inspired in many ways.
In a remote village in the west, the philosopher Plato was informed that "the cause of the destruction of the Kingdom of Atlantis lies outside this world."...... Plato, Siddhartha, Jesus of Nazareth, and King Asura felt a strange tension and anxiety that they had never felt before, What role did Plato, Siddhartha, Jesus of Nazareth, and King Asura play in the flow of all things and the eternal passage of time as the world moves from creation to destruction? This is a milestone in Japanese science fiction that pursues the "God" who rules the universe in a magnificent time-space setting.
BLAME!
Keywords: ultra-hard science fiction, few lines, decadent, foggy boar and shibo, extreme space
Previously published: 6 volumes complete (new edition)
In order to stop the proliferation of the city that has turned into chaos, the main character, Kirii's objective is to find the person who possesses the key net terminal gene.
It is interesting to read the overwhelming worldview through conversations with the puppet creatures that appear from time to time.
Not much is said, thus leaving much room for the reader's imagination.
This is probably the reason why this place has created a deep fan base!
The cartoon is difficult to understand in many ways, so I'll explain it very simply: the Fog Boar and the governing bureau want to improve the current situation, but the safeguards get in the way.
Just understanding that the governing bureau, the ruling level of the netsphere, "wants to make contact with humans" makes the story a little easier to understand.
Tsutomu Nibei's science fiction masterpiece! In this extremely advanced Internet world, the explorer Kirii wanders through thousands of floors of superstructures in search of "pre-infected" "Internet terminal genes" in order to gain "re-access to the ruling station".
Incidentally, some of the content has been greatly improved and made into a movie.
CLAYMORE (Dark Fantasy)
Keywords: girl warrior, half-human, half-demon, demon, death struggle
Previously published: 27 volumes complete
When I first read it, I remember being overwhelmed by an atmosphere I had never felt before. The drawings and atmosphere are very unique, and the fact that the beautiful girls have a reptilian look when they are in battle is an originality of this manga!
The sad and hot battles between beautiful and fragile warriors that unfold each time one strong enemy after another appear are most interesting!
Since ancient times, people have been eaten by "demons" in this world. For a long time, people did not have the means to fight demons.... But then, a warrior with a great sword on her back, who continues to fight demons, appears.... The battle of the girl called "Claymore" begins!
Please come back again as we continue to add more and more works to be introduced!
